Karishma is a seasoned legal advisor in the technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) space. She has guided leading global and domestic entities through these laws for nearly a decade, shaping compliance strategies in sectors from online gaming to AI and consumer tech. A first-generation lawyer, Karishma is the founder of Kintsugi Law, a boutique firm providing specialised TMT legal advice.

She is highly reputed for her expertise in, amongst other things, the legal arenas of privacy and data protection, cyber security, intermediary liability, and related technology disputes.

In medias res is a space that collates Karishma’s personal views on technology, law, and everything in between. As with epic poetry, which often began in medias res (a narrative technique that plunged readers into the middle of the action), this collection of thoughts begins in the midst of the (legal and regulatory) action, referencing historical background along the way.

Karishma holds a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) in Law from the University of Cambridge, as well as a Master of Arts (with Honours) in English Literature from the University of Edinburgh.
